We have had Fiber to the door for a year. However, $40/mo for Fiber versus $15/mo for DSL makes this an easy choice. Here is the story in detail.

All I can say now is, " it's great to be rid of the modem and all the filters on my phone lines" and my AOL radio seems to have lost its stutter.

[Image]So my Dad back in Texas now has fiber to the curb. 5MB down and 2MB up. To compound the irony of my Dad having technology advanced beyond mine, he's still using AOL for email.
Meanwhile, out here in the boondocks of Davidson County, we have a grand total of two options: overpay Comcast or overpay BellSouth. Where's all the deregulation love?
