The little bastard saw his shadow...he's dinner. And I have long thought that PETA's communications director is a comedian and just throws out these wacky protests to amuse him or herself. Cheers Doc!!

In these parts we follow the wisdom of Staten Island Chuck. He pops out of a landfill and tell us that it will 6 more weeks until we can get to the Jersey Shore.

I really do think it would be hilarious if Phil bit that old geezer who pulls him out of his little home. It's so rude of them to do that.

I'm ok with 6 more weeks of what we've been getting in the NW, which is one of the warmest winters on record.

You may not want to admit agreeing with PETA on anything... could give you a bad name.

Now...as a resident of England....I believe Groundhogs are some'at to do with the Bill Murray film?

Would it be possible to transport a few over to England - with the appropriate armaments as per the pic - and position them outside The House of Commons.

Strict instructions to be "Shoot every SOB who goes in or out"?

Just a thought from England....

Cuddly little buggers aren't they?

I can't blame him for being pissed. Hauling him out on this day every year is like whipping my down comforter off of me while I'm sound asleep... and there'd be hell to pay if someone tried that!

Oh my gosh that photo CRACKED ME UP! The way his little paws look - he could just as easily be strumming a banjo!

I'll take up the chant - Leave Phil alone! Leave Phil alone!

Last time I checked, winter ended on March 21st, whether Phil saw his shadow or not. Ground Hog Day has got to be one of the goofiest holidays ...
