I really like George Brett... His speach to the AL stars before lest weeks Allstar game did the trick... He is a class guy.

One of the greatest moments in baseball history. I was watching that game with my dad at his house and we were yelling and cheering Brett on when came racing out of the dugout.

On the other hand, it's also sad to watch this and remember those days and then think about how that cheap bastard David Glass and the rest of his Wal-Mart bean counters have completely ruined the Royals.

I remember that game. I was watching with my son, who was 10 then, and when Brett came racing out Jeff screamed "kick him in the balls! f**k him! he's an asshole"

then he turned deep red to realize his Mom was sitting there

He apologized with - "I'm sorry to curse so bad Ma but this is George Brett"

I got it ;)
