I dig curling, always have. I used to watch it as a kid. A local PBS station used to run curling on Saturday afternoons. And if there's a hot chick involved, that's a plus. Cheers Doc!!
Curling is awesome. We have a local curling club and in high school we would curl all the time - like people go bowling in other areas. But I am not sure I could get into the position anymore.
Curling is pretty damn cool. Kind of mesmerizing to watch.
Debbie is pretty cool. Allison is pretty cute too. Also, a couple of those Japanese curlers were cute. Especially the one with the really kissable puffy lips. LOL
On The Simpsons the other night, Marge and Homer joined a curling league(??) and it was very, very funny. I had no idea it was an Olympic sport until then! LOL.
It's good to know I'm not the only one who gets obsessed! (Mine is Micheal Phelps...from the chin down) LOL! I LOVE to watch curling but completly missed it last night. When was it on? I saw Jacabelli completely wipe out and ruin her quest for gold yet again and Mens Figure Skating...where was the curling?
I'm enjoying the Olympics very much and the curling was pretty fun!
Are you going to start playing?

[Image] It only took about 6 minutes and 45 seconds and I was hooked. Or should I say I was curled. What am I talking about? I am referring to my new fascination women's curling. Last night I sat down and turned on the Olympics and that's when I saw her. Debbie McCormick.
Debbie is the 'Skip' (which is what my heart did) for Team USA in the ice cold sport of curling. Curling from the best I can ascertain is a cross between chess, shuffleboard, and bowling all done on ice. Don't ask me the rules of even how you score because to be honest I am not sure. If I'm being even more honest I don't even really care I just like it a lot!
Last night unfortunately my new ice queen and her team lost to Japan in their match up by like an eighth of an inch or less and I was saddened, but as my twitter friends can attest I did offer to console my new favorite female athlete Skip Debbie.
This morning I stared doing some research on curling and Skip Debbie to try and learn some more and found out first of all that she is married. Oh well so am I but a boy can dream can't he? She works at Home Depot and was born in Canada even though she moved to Wisconsin as a child. Her favorite TV show is the Price is Right and her other hobbies are scrap booking, kayaking, and playing something called chicken foot. (maybe I need to learn what this is too) She is also a minister at her Catholic Church.
Hopefully I can convince her to start reading YJKOBT. Until then enjoy a few pictures of Skip Debbie that I dug up and I will do my best to learn more and keep up with team USA curling!

I do believe I called this one last night. I could tell by your enthusiasm on Twitter a blog could not be far away...

Mandy - you called it last night but not before the thoughts of this blog were already rumbling around in my head!

If you truly believe it can happen, it more likely will.

I am not surprised she's from Canada. I never heard of the sport until I went there and watched a match. It really is very cool.

Curling is like watching the grass grow.
Except it's on ice so there isn't any grass...

She is a minister at a Catholic church? How does that work?
NOT a fan of curling. I watched it for all of 30 seconds and had to turn it off. Bah!

Curling is one sport I really don't get. I love the action sports like skiing, snow boarding and speed skating.
But Skip Debbie is pretty, and I can see why you've developed such a crush!
And she's probably a Eucharistic minister or Liturgical minister at her Catholic church, since the Catholics don't allow women to lead their churches.

First American Idol, now the Olympics. I am such a dud - I haven't watched ANY of it!
