I JUST noticed this blog tag and it made me laugh because both my husband and my dad have the middle name Wayne! They are both mostly normal, though. I think it's a statistical skew in that Wayne, Lee, and Ray are (for some unknown reason) very popular middle names in the south...and a lot of fucked up people come from the south...because the poverty and violent crime level is higher and the education level is lower. I can say that because a) it's true and b) I lived it. Ha! It's still a weird, creepy statistical skew, though.

I have been thinking that having the middle name Wayne is a very unfortunate situation. It seems that anyone with the middle name of Wayne that I can think of turns out to have serious issues. Parents may want to think twice about giving your child the middle name Wayne. A few unfortunate (but famous) examples of this are: John Wayne Gacy, Elmer Wayne Henley and of course how could we forget John Wayne Bobbitt.
These examples got me thinking further and I decided to do some research. And that is not counting other violent crimes - just murder.
Hopefully this has given pause to any prospective parents out there to carefully consider what you name your sweet new child. The impact of the wrong name can be dire. Isn't that list enough proof for you all that you shouldn't give your child the middle name Wayne? Can anyone else think of any name like this that seems to be predisposed to a life of crime?

Of course if you took a look at every single person who has ever commited murder, there wouldn't be any names left to choose from!
I was going to say that as long as you don't give your kid the ENTIRE name of a killer, you're good to go, but Wayne is OUT no matter what now!
