Yeah I read an article recently about all the people who made it to Hollywood this year had already had crappy singing careers. I guess they wanted to give some of the shitty singers that they already had under contract another run. I haven't been watching this year though.
Now as far as Ms. Anndi I couldn't disagree with you more... Taylor (I no longer have a record deal) Hicks and Eliot (cement mixer teeth) Yamin were the pimped ones on that year my dear. Previous American Idols are from: Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Arizona. Did you see Dublin on that list??? :p And this is American idol not the Olympics... I don't like pros in teh Olympics either but the olympics doesn't bill itself as trying to discover the next hidden talent.
Yeah I still luv you but you can't tell me that American Idol isn't trying to play these folks up as new found talent. Heck that Kristy Lee Cook even said that she had to sell her horse to come and audition. I call horse ---- on that!

See now you gave me a reason not to watch the show, because once again the background is a mash of lies and hising things...so much for thinking it was some true talent, but that would be why the competition was so good? I think you should have never had a contract to even be allows to audition, and previous auditions should be that.
Anndi? Did you just dare to say that my fellow NC brother Chris Daughtry sings like a goat? If so then you lose all credibility as a judge of musical talent... Baryard or otherwise... LOL!
[Image] Ole tattoo girl Carly Smithson is actually previous music industry flop Carly Hennessy... funny that in all the background that they did on her there is no mention that MCA records spent millions trying to shove this Irish "pop star" down our throats years ago to no avail. Hmmmm she wasn't worth listening to a few years ago but now with tats all over her arm, a freaky looking inked up husband and her "visa issues" taken care of she is ready for American Idol. Heck she isn't even American why the heck is she on there in the first place?
Pretty much the same is true of Kristy Lee Cook who had a Nashville recoring deal previously and is also in American Idols top 24. Oh yeah and "i once had voice paralysis" David Archuletta he is no first time adutitioner either. He has been performing on TV for years. Call me bitter if you must but I think that American Idol should give us new undisovered talent not rehashing of stuff that has already flopped before.

Single - Chris Daughtry is the real American Idol and he didn't win.
Jay - I watch it 'cause the wife and I have a littel contest about who is goign to win. Kind of like a Ncaa Tourney pool

Daughtry was the pimped one, much like the Irish girl will be the pimped one.
All his songs sounded the same to me.
There is no rule stating the Idol must be 'born' American.. but they must be legal.
I'm not sure about recording contracts though... look, if we let pros in the Olympics, why are we making a fuss about this?

Clive was not a happy camper when he had to deal with Taylor as the idol.
