It's hard NOT to believe that Clemens took steroids or HGH. I pretty much assume that they're all taking something.

My biggest problem is how so many in the sports media who constantly savaged Bonds immediately began to make excuses for Clemens. A lot of the started the "well, he was just looking for an edge" line.

So, when a really popular guy (popular with the media) does it he's just competitive, but when a guy the media hates (Bonds and McGwire also) does it or is suspected he's a dirty cheater. This is why I hate sports writers.

Roger Clemens' wife is hot, and I think just about all of MLB was doing steroids, evening out the playing field (pun intended).

I hate to disagree with your premise Vin but your inital conclusion is wrong... If you follow Barry Bond's logic then Roger Clemens is being persecuted becsuse he is a white man.

I never thought I would see MLB playing the race card. I really don't care if they took it but they need to come clean for the sake of the sport.

Looking at that picture I can tell that at least his wife is cheating... She is using an aluminum bat.

I am not 100% convinced that Clemens is lying. I know that may sound naive, but what ever happened to playing for the love of the game? It's actually a pretty sad commentary that something that Doc and I love will be hard to pass the same love of and memories to our son!

Jay, I agree and disagree w/ your comments about sports writers. I agree that I have no love for them. They are like their near-sighted, slanted, liberal brethren that report the national news. Where I disagree is your take on how sports writers have viewed McGwire and Clemens. Clemens used to be hated, but has warmed up to them in the last several years (until now!). On the other hand, McGwire was loved by the media until he would not comment in front of the steriod hearing by pleading the fifth amendment.

Vin, your comment may have been tongue-in-cheek, but Bonds did throw the race card way too easily in my book.

BTW - Can't tell if she still has that same bod in the cell phone commercial, but Clemens wife is smokin' in that pic.
