Hmm I don't doubt something is going on but you can take a piture of something and depending on the lighting and camera settings the item photographed can view quite different in color and texture from it's actual appearance.
Maybe the "cleansing process" is actually cleansing his blood of all the steroids he took while playing? The side effects of which is "That Vampire Look."
Or ... Maybe he got a role on next season's True Blood and they made up this skin cleansing thing to throw everyone off.

Wow Sammy is that you? While I was looking through the news yesterday I came a[Image]cross this article that wonders if Sammy Sosa is bleaching his skin. This is actually pretty scary looking check out the shots... Very eerie in a Michael Jackson sort of way. According to Rebecca Polihronis, one of Sosa's friends the picture was taken at the Latin Grammy awards: [Image] "He is in the middle of doing a cleansing process to his skin," Polihronis told the newspaper. "The picture is deceiving. He said, 'If you saw me in person, you would be surprised. When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture.'"
I think that is the way Michael Jackson started too... Hey Sammy Beisbol was berry berry good to you... Please there can't be that much of a "skin cleansing" process that will do that to your face... Maybe Sammy is just still trying to keep up with Mark McGuire. Yeesh.
