Marylin didn't have any actual talent. People seem to remember her in a very generous way. But really, she was as big a train wreck as LiLo or Brit or any of todays bimbos.
I disagree with Jay. I don't see a shred of acting talent coming from that little twat (Lindsay). Marilyn might not have had any actual talent when it came to acting, but she really was absolutely stunning in photographs.
Back in those days, it was uncommon for beautiful women to 'bare all' unlike today. Today's women aren't remembered, warmly or otherwise, because they'll take their clothes off and pose for a nickel or a little bit of publicity. A dime a dozen, so to speak. Also, the posing was done in a much more classy manner, back then.
You have to give props to Hugh Hefner. He still manages to make classy, nude photos and semi nude photos, that get respect all over the world. Everything else is just porn and smut. In my perspective, Marilyn's photos were never porn.
i agree simply curious... it would be awfully distastful if you took off those white panties and had your bare ass showing for us all... atleast you keep it modest with the white undies *giggle* ;-)
So if we are going to have an argument it at least needs to be a valid argument not something stupid ie - more people in Russia watch hockey than the Daytona 500 - if there is a vaild argument than sure... but not stupid stuff. It drives me up the wall
I am amazed that you would read such a book though, that shocks me. I think I need to read that one though....James Dean and Marilyn covered my walls as a teen, and no I am not that OLD!
This past Sunday, as a long departure from the book I was reading about the Baltimore ghetto ‘The Corner’, I started reading ‘The Many Lives of Marilyn Monroe’ (Yes I am so metro-sexual aren’t I?). It is a very revealing book analyzing who she was along with stories about her many sexual trysts and mysteries behind her death. The cover photo is a naked Marilyn with a pink scarf in her mouth (This is from her last photo shoot known as ‘The Last Sitting’ which was taken not long before her death). I never saw or heard of this photo shoot before I started reading this book. Well now I hear that this is the exact photo that Lindsay Lohan re-creates in a New York Magazine spread this month. Famed photographer Bert Stern shot the original Marilyn ‘The Last Sitting’ as well as the Lindsay homage. [Image]
