I used to live in an area that had very few choices so we had direct tv. For the most part it was fine, unless it was about to rain or snow and then it sucked. Since we moved to the big, bad city, we've stuck with cable cause it's easier. The cable company has fun afoul with me once or twice but, for the most part, they handle everything quickly and with little drama.

Not only do I think we get better channels than him, they were total assholes when I had to deal with them for him about a billing matter. Only downside is when the weather is rough the signal is out.
Since we got our fancy new flat screen last year we had to upgrade our cable to digital AND HD...only the best I tell ya. (hey, I have two kids...my cable is my only source of entertainment)!
We have cable and love it. We have the bundled package (cable, internet, phone). We get great service and if I have a problem, they are quick to fix it and usually offer me a discount of some sort! Sweet!
Much like Evil, we have the same bundled cable package and the same great service. Cheers Doc!!

[Image] As I sit here this morning working from home and waiting for the DirecTV man to come and realign our dish it not only reminded me of this famous tirade post about terrible customer service from DirecTV but it also gave the the idea for this weeks poll. How do you get TV reception at your home? Do you use satellite dish reception or Cable? We have been pretty much happy with direcTV other than the previously referenced post. (give it a read it's a beaut) Do you use Cable? regular, HiDef or digital? Or do you get broadcast channels over the air? Maybe you just use a PC or some other method. None. we had a dish, but got rid of it and now have a TV with no channels!

I actually have an "old fashioned" TV - with a converter box - to receive "digital" TV signals via an antenna on the top of the apartment building.
And I don't own a DVD player ...

Dish! Our only complaint is that we have to pay for it. Free would be nice.

Everyone that I know with a dish has issues with reception during storms. I have cable and I am generally satisfied.
