I have been saying two thousand and ten. My nerdy friend Alyson pointed out that that translates to 2000.10.

I have no opinion on this issue really. I'll be interested on other people's opinions.

Truly don't care but I do think I say TwoThousandTen. Guess it could change, Twenty Ten seems easier. Oh well...

I guess if people are into consistency the year should be called "Twenty Ten".

I mean we used to say "Nineteen Ninety-Seven" "Seventeen Seventy-Six", etc.

We didn't call those years, Nineteen Hundred Ninety-Seven and so forth.

Then again, I'm not big on rules. Cheers Doc!!

I'm not sure. Two Thousand Ten sounds better to me, but I'll probably end up calling it whatever everyone else does... :-)

It's Twenty-Ten and it's a new decade.

People need to stop disagreeing with me on this. LOL

Okay, so maybe I don't really care. Except the people claiming it's not a new decade. I enjoy pissing them off by arguing that it is. ;-)

But, if someone wants to take the time to say "Two Zero One Zero" then I'm open to that.

I have been saying Twenty-Ten. I hope to be saying "The year of the Tide" - that has an awfully nice ring to it but it'll be hard to write on checks.

I had to stop a moment and ask myself what it sounded like in my head when I read this post, and it clearly came out as "twenty-ten" so that's how I'm voting.

I say both right now, since I am still used to saying two thousand nine, but I am finding myself saying twenty-ten more. I just hate the "AND" part if it is said the long way.

I asked my students today and they all said two thousand ten sounded better.
