My painting "Fast Asleep" was awarded a top prize at the 6" Squared Show this week. The show is currently at the Randy Higbee Gallery in Costa Mesa, CA. I was totally surprised to get this honor out of so many great paintings in this show. Did not expect this at all and real excited about it.

This is thrilling --and a marvellously effortless loking picture --bet it wasn't effortless either.
Congratulations.

well deserved Frank. Beautiful painting, beautiful model. :] I hope it went to a good home, I'm sure it was hard to let go of.

Congrats, Frank. It is a nice piece and well-deserved. (Was it a preparatory sketch for your larger paintings?)
Couldn't make it to the show myself this go-round but looked at everything Randy posted.
Good luck at Door County in July...

Congrats Frank!!! To be fair to the other painters next time you should not use Erin as a model. She is too cute.

Congratulations Frank! Beautifully spontaneous little piece.
I keep getting "call to artists" emails from the Higbee Gallery. Maybe next time I'll get up the courage to submit something.
Dude, where's the Present? Did I miss it?
