前回のあややや様からの質問メールに対してさっそく
三木さんから回答がありました。三木さん、ありがとうございました。

of でもin でもよいと思います。
恐らく、この「英語達人」は、the reform of divorce laws
(離婚についての法改正）

というように、divorceと言う名詞には、普通of という前置詞
がつくが、（この場合は、「目的表示所有格」のofと言います）
He played an active role for the education reform of the country.
と言う文においては、
「the country をreformするのではないので、inと言う前置詞を
使うのが正しい」
とのお考えのようですが、そうではありません。

上記の場合のofは、「主格表示所有格」であり、「この国が行なう
教育改革」と言う意味であり、問題ありません。これをinにすると、
「この国に置ける教育改革」と言う意味と、副詞句として、「この国で
ーー役割を果たした」という意味にもとれますが、これでは、少し
不自然です。

因みに、「教育改革」は、the education reformではなく、
(an) educational reformか、(a) reform of the educational system
が普通ですね。
