私は今まで様々な英語学習法を試してきました。

ラジオ講座、テレビ講座、TOEIC対策、英検対策
通訳ガイド対策、英字新聞、英語雑誌、その他様々な
英語テキストをこなしてきました。

音読もシャドウイングもディクテーションもやりました。
英会話サークル、英会話スクール、通訳学校にも行きました。

先日の「英語でしゃべらナイト」で放送された、恵比寿の
英会話喫茶にも行きました。



そんな私にもまだ未経験の学習法があったのです。

それは、Language Exchangeです。

先日初めて経験しました。
インターネット上でSkypeでの会話です。

相手はアメリカの女子大生。
大学の日本語のクラスの一環でした。
日本人の会話相手募集があったのを、たまたま見つけたので応募したのです。

最初の30分は日本語で、後半は英語でたわいもない会話をしました。
なかなか面白かったです。

日本でもカフェなどでLanguage Exchangeをやっている人もいるようですね。



ウーさんの2行目、has its price in dollars and cents は「費用がかかる」
という意味のようですが、辞書では見つかりませんでした。


高橋さんの1行目、handicappedが、身体障害ではなくて、単に「不利」と
いう意味で使われていますね。
