今年度から真剣にビジネス英会話で勉強しようと決心しました。まだまだ未熟で、いろいろ基本的な質問がわいてきます。ご教示いただけますでしょうか。
４月２日の放送からの質問で申し訳ありません。本文ビニェットではなく、Vocabulary Building
の例文についての質問です。
look on the bright side の説明に、こんな英文がありました。
........you'll see that losing that customer has simply saved you many
headaches.
この saved you の後に、from はいらないのでしょうか。
違う意味になるような気がして、どうもすっきりしません......。

そうなんですね...。from はなくても日本語訳のような意味として通じるものなんですね。from は省略されているということでもないのでしょうか。いろいろ考えても先に進まないかもしれません。さしあたって、ご紹介いただいた例文をきっちり記憶していこうと思います。

辞書を使って用法を調べてみました！
save にはいろいろな意味がありますが、
《help to avoid》の場合
⇒ 目的語 ＋ sb ＋ sth
これが最もあてはまるような気がします。例文として、以下のものがあがっていました。
Just use canned soup and save yourself trouble.
（缶スープを使いなさい。面倒じゃないから）
It would save me a trip across town.
（街に出ていく手間が省けます）
いかがでしょうか？
これでしたら、fromがなくても問題ありません。
