「知的な英語、好かれる英語」という本を読みました。
mixiで知人が紹介していたので読んでみました。

ニューヨークに長く在住している著者による、状況に応じた正しい英語
と振舞い方についての本です。


- 英語は決して直接的な言い方だけの言葉ではなく、時と場所に応じた
言い方をしないと相手に失礼になる。

- 相手を尊重した言い方により自分の扱いが変わる

- I wanna なんてのは学生言葉であるから大人は使ってはだめ。

- パーティーでは正しい振舞い方がある。

- レストランでの基本マナー（ナイフとフォーク以外）。
