After the checkup, I got manipulative treatment in the same hospital. I experienced Western medicine and alternative medicine in a day.

なかほどにある before the days が、どうもしっくりきません。 私はディクテーションの際に、この単語を before-the-days なんて 苦しまぎれにしておりました。この before the days は、どのような 形(品詞)として受けとめればいいのでしょうか。決まった表現なの でしょうか。辞書で探してみましたが、うまく答えを導き出せません でした。よろしくお願いいたします。
