You've lost me.

おぼえてますかー

2003年4月の田中先生時代のビジ英で出てきましたね。

今週の英会話スクールで、「会議で使う表現」を学びました。

例えば、Asking for Repetitionの表現では、

I'm afraid I didn't understand that.
Could you repeat what you just said?

I didn't catch that. Could you repeat that, please?

などが出てきました。

そこで、You've lost me.　はどう？って聞いたところ、

So direct.だと。
何言ってるかわかんねーよ、みたいなフランクな表現
だそうです。

You've kinda lost me. ほうがいいとも、言っていました。

●jam　「つかえる、動かなくなる、行く手をふさぐ」
──────────────────────────────
If you jam something somewhere, you push or put it there
roughly. (つめこむ)

If something such as a part of a machine jams, or if
something jams it, the part becomes fixed in position and
is unable to move freely or work properly. (動かなくなる)

If vehicles jam a road, there are so many of them that
they cannot move.(交通渋滞)

If a lot of people jam a place, or jam into a place,
they are pressed tightly together so that they can
hardly move. (？)

To jam a radio or electronic signal means to interfere
with it and prevent it from being received or heard clearly.

handはこの場合「（手綱をつかんでいる）手」。「暴れだした馬に、
手綱を取られてしまう」といった発想で、「自分の手ではコントロール
できなくなる、処理しきれなくなる」という意味で使う。

フレーズ辞典より。
■ Tim is a gentle but firm father who never lets his kids get out of hand.
ティムは優しいが厳格な父親で，子供の好き勝手は決して許さない．

●read (someone) the riot act　「厳しく叱る」
──────────────────────────────
E-DICより。
The Riot Actは、騒乱を意図して12人以上の者が集まった場合に、
その集会に解散を命じることのできる「騒擾(そうじょう)取締法」
のこと。1715年に発布された英国の法律である。readは「（その条例を）
読みあげる」で、「（集会参加者に条例を読みあげ）解散を命じる」
というのが、この表現の本来の意味である。ただし、現在、会話では
その意味で用いることはない。

P70にも、ほぼ同じことが書かれてありますね。ビジ英のテキストは
E-DICにも収録されているアメリカ口語辞典からの引用でしょうね。
