前回、SONYの新しい電子辞書の話をしました。

同じ日にSONYのPDA、CLIEが生産中止になるというニュース
が出ていました。

私もCLIEを使ってきましたがちょうど壊れたところでした（涙）。
そこでPDA最後の砦、ザウルスに先週から乗り換え中です。

PDAは、テキストを読んだり、MP3を聞いたりと、英語学習
にも使えます。前回紹介したSONYの電子辞書でもこれらが
できます。ここに電子辞書がPDAに取って代わる可能性が
見えます。

電子辞書でスケジュール管理と住所録管理ができるように
なる日がくるかもしれません。

"far be it form me" to criticize, when you are
disagreeing or criticizing and you want to
appear less hostile.

意見が異なる時や、批判する時に、敵意がないように言うときに
使う。

（二つ目のthatは省略されている）これってちょっと長い
というか、いいんでしょうかという感じです。

喫煙を許すべきではない

直訳では「喫煙を薦められるべきではない」となるんでしょう
が、should be urged not toがちょっと珍しいです。

should be urged not toはgoogleでは結構出てきます。
