The Agonist--by Sean Paul Kelley 6:59 EST Fighting continues at Al Faw Peninsula, the southernmost part of Iraq facing the Persian Gulf and the Shatt Al-Arab waterway. British forces claim to control the western part of the peninsula, and Iraqi forces continue to hold the eastern part. British troops are finding it difficult -- even with the support of air power -- to clear the Iraqi fighters from the vast marshlands of Al Faw, which is surrounded by dozens of small rivers and channels in all directions. Intelligence from the air in many cases has been unable to identify targets in those wetlands.
