Hang in there....I know it is very emotional. I moved from NY to Nebraska as we were driving through Iowa I saw lots of tumbleweed and I said what did I get into. Once I arrived in my new home things got better.

I cried when hubby and I left our first house, too. Happy to be moving 'up' in the world, but sad to leave a strong foundation.

Enjoy making new memories and experiences in your new place!

Good luck as you leave. It is always hard for me to face change. I loved reading all the things this house has meant to you and your family.

This made me tear up. Your first home is so special. Hope the trip goes well and I am sure your family will make the next home just as special.

Yours is the most emotional and beautiful post I have ever read. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, feelings and memories. We have been in our first home now for 1 year and have already formed a strong attachment. I can relate to many of your memories. Thanks for making me smile. Good luck with your move. Lots of new memories, friends, moments to be had. :) xxx
