I think it is certainly a worthwhile book, if you are thinking about doing a Ptolemaic army. It shows its progression nicely, from Alexandrian to a Roman system, and the changing gear.

Yes I wanted to use as many boaters as possible, to make them look rural. The Egyptian peasants also seem to have worn a pilos-like hat, which is handy, too.
