The Crusader figures are on the smaller size:26mm from sole of foot to eye. Size wise they are close to the BTD figures but the Crusader ones have smaller and more in proportion heads and slightly narrower shoulders. Even so I'd probably put them in the same unit quite happily and I am really fussy about these things!

Thanks, that's interesting. So presumably they are a little taller than Foundry?

Thanks for posting this. A friend was just asking about Late Romans. I will direct him here.

In regard to BTD scale, I'm currently painting a bunch of their Germans and have been wondering if they've been sculpted by multiple sculptors. Not only the size, but the style of some of the figures looks different. More of a benefit than a problem for a horde army, so I don't mind. But maybe the Late Romans are the work of multiple hands?

Hi Z23, no they are the work of one one sculptor (Woody) but I believe he used existing BTD dollies, which may explain the height variations.

The Germans are nice...
