The wash on those figures at the back look great. Its how I paint my figures these days with a white basecoat and wash, so much quicker, with a reasonable result.

SW, that Greg is very good with the wash. He bought 20 bottles before GW changed the paints! I'm quite taking to it... will see how it works on the white base.

My method :

white undercoat.
Paint all the minie with one coat.
Wash violently
repaint with same color on raised areas
one more highlight
one more highlight on the flesh and details (this bring a contrast with parts which only have one highligt.

Yup, that's the method. I'm getting very good results with it, hopefully some pics tomorrow.

Greg I did somne figures in white to go alongside the browns you did, sets them off, nicely.
