bases and cobbles... ok, it's too late for those but you'll prolly make more : I would just remove the metal base (easy with a pair of cutters) and "pin" the miniatures on the base. This would in my opinion go faster and prolly looks better than your solution.

This being said, they really looks great !

Hi Greg I know what you mean, but I wanted to use steel plate, in order to make the bases as thin as possible (the foam is already 1.5mm thick).

I've camouflaged most of the bases now, and they are looking quite good, photos to follow in a day or so.

Th minis you painted look very good!
