These promos are good but can you use them with a smart phone? I always run out of data long before my service plan is up. I have lots of minutes and text left but my data is zero. I still have a year to go on my plan. What should I do?
I brought 2-1gb data add-on cards on the Tracfone website(6/11/2017),to increase my data bucket,for my Zte Max Duo smartphone.The phone had about 1100 minutes,1200 texts &1.2gb data with a service end data of 12/15/2017 on phone.After the Tracfone website put the 2-1gb data cards in my account,all of my original bucket amounts were GONE! With no talk or text time in the account, the phone had NO service,except data usage(via wifi).Dealing with Tracfone "chat"(1 time) & calling customer service(2 times,on another phone),being told they would send problem issue to the ?department to be fixed,I have yet to be able to use the phone....Is this normal? On a side note,Thanks for your website,it has it's own dedicated tab,and is read alot,keep up the good work!!!
From the tracfone website, it looks like you can buy just data cards to add to your phone--$10 for 1.0 GB of data (does not add any service days): https://www.tracfone.com/serviceplan

Tracfone Promo Codes June 2017
As summer arrives so does a fresh batch of promo codes to use with Tracfone. We collect these codes and share only the latest here in this promo code list. We also have a larger list of codes on our main promo code page.
Use these codes when adding an airtime card to your Tracfone device. Each code is for a specific airtime card, but usually can be used with cards of greater value (for example, a code for the 60 minute card can also be used with the 120, 200 and 450 minute cards).
Some promo codes can only be used once, while others can be used multiple times.
These promo codes may also work on Tracfone smartphones like the LG Fiesta and Samsung Galaxy Sky, as well as BYOP devices like the Moto G5 Plus. Initially Tracfone appeared to not allow smartphones to accept promo codes, but a number of readers have confirmed promo codes adding bonus talk airtime on their smartphone devices. Tracfone is now offering bonus airtime on Smartphone Only airtime cards. Below is the only code available at this time, which gives bonus data for the $25 smartphone card.
With recent changes to the Tracfone website, it appears that the best way to ensure you receive bonus minutes is to call Tracfone directly and add airtime over the phone where you should have the chance to try more than one promo code.
