I used code 87641 successfully TWICE. Once to add texts to my own phone and once to add them to my son's phone. I always check at the first of the month to see if any of the promo codes are for things I would be interested in. Since I use more texts than anything else, this was a good deal for me. I also wanted to mention that I subscribe to Consumer Reports and in the June 2018 issue there is an article about cell-phone carriers. Out of a list of 20, Tracfone was listed ninth with a score of 82. (The highest rated company got 89.) ALL of the major carriers were at the bottom of the list!
i greatly appreciate all of the work you put into this Tracfone help site; i have visited it many times over the years for phone reviews and current Promo codes; however, i usually only add minutes once a year (for me 4 x the cheapest 90 minute cards is enough with the triple minutes on my phone); however, since i only do this once a year, it would be helpful if you could elaborate a little on the actual workings of the Promo codes in order to facilitate their proper use (and to refresh my memory each year); i just added 4 x 90 minute cards tonight; the the 2 main tidbits of info that i would have found helpful are: 1) the additional amount added by the Promo code is for calling minutes only---the Promo code does not increase text or data additions; and 2) only 1 Promo code will be applied per purchase transaction, so that when i purchased #2 90 minute cards in the same transaction, the Promo code only gave me one 60 minute call bonus; i needed to purchase each of the #4 90 minute cards in four separate transactions in order to get a 60 minute Promo calling bonus for each 90 minute card;
I tried 12745 on a 60 on a smartphone. Didnt work. Gave error. Had to reenter card pin code. Dodnt give me an option second time to enter promo code. Even shittier is it only extended me 90 days with no minutes texts or data added. What a ripoff tracfone
After chattng with cs when it looked like it disnt take, the minutes sata and text all increased by 180 so promo didnt work but rest did. Apparently i still have a triple min phone
