After the second code fails, you can also cancel the transaction and start over again for another two attempts, and so on for several times from my experience!!!

Best off with triple minute phones. Today I added a 200 minute card and received 60 bonus minutes via the code tracfone reviewer. I received a total of 460 minutes for $44. Of course, had it been a triple minutes phone I would have received 660 minutes. I broke it down by cost per unit. The 460 minutes for $44 came to $.096/unit. Had I used a triple minutes phone it would have been $.067/unit. It makes a difference. Thank You tracfonereviewer for the codes and information. The code you suggested offered a better bonus than the one offered by tracfone.

You guys are great! My original coupon book expired last year and I just expected that that was the end of that. Rather than adding by phone (like usual) I Googled "Tracfone" and saw "tracfone promo code" down about 4 options. The 1st code I tried worked. Those minutes would have cost me $20 otherwise. While you haven't quite restored my faith in humanity, I no longer have the urge to hole up in a bunker with assault weapons and cases of Ramen, muttering to myself. Thank You!

The procedure described above asks for an airtime PIN from an airtime card or cash register receipt, which you may not have. Here is the alternate procedure for buying directly online:

Go to Tracfone homepage -> select Add Airtime, Buy Online -> on the next screen, select "Pay As You Go" -> on the next screen, select the cards you want to buy, then in the area on the right of the screen, enter your phone/serial/IMEI number and promo code -> click "continue to checkout"

If the code is expired, you will get a warning message in a red banner at the top of the next screen. Try another code. To be safe, I only did this twice, then closed the window and started over. When you finally enter a code that works, it will take you directly to the payment login screen.

New to Tracfone. So I understand, you can only use 1 good promo code in final transaction. You can't stack (provide), 2 or more good codes, and get both Promos, right? This whole discussion, is how to make sure you get one (1), that is active and will take, right? thanks.

Blogger TracfoneReviewer Team said...

Yes, you are correct. Tracfone puts out a lot of codes, and they don't always say when they expire. So this is about how to test different codes until you find one that works. You can only use one code per minute card refil.

Sure glad I came across this blog.
My service end date comes in a few days, but I still have several hundred minutes remaining. What the best deal, or combination, that would extend my service date, while adding little or no minutes?
Thank one and all.

I just used a Monthly Value Plan to add 30 days for 5.99 plus taxes and fees, which for me came out to around $6.50 per month. This will be added to my account automatically when my due date arrives. So the only catch is that I will have to monitor my minutes. When my minutes are getting low, I'll have to purchase more in some way and catch it before I run out, or I'll be charged 6.50 to add time I can't use/don't need and will still have to add time with the purchase of minutes. Does this make sense?
Anyway, I figure this is cheaper than $99 for a year (6.50 x 12 = 78) and I continue to get the advantage that I don't have to recalculate my best plan every couple of months.

That's very strange, I would call Tracfone and tell them their code didn't work, and then give it to them. If they tell you it is expired, just try another! They should give you the bonus minutes, although it might be a hassle.

Absolutely, your triple minutes will work on the 1500 minute, one year plan, and, as you've already noticed, that is a well kept secret, (only on-line, not seen in stores). It's the biggest bang for your buck!! All promo codes should work, as they are good on any card above what they are offered for, and the 1500 minute card is at the top of the heap! I did this last September, and am about to do it again, (not out of days, just low on minutes). Good Luck!

Didn't work for me. Perhaps a few explicit screen shots would help. I think that Tracfone may have change some of this. I entered the airtime pin, promo code, and phone number in a pop-up window. Took me to the same info in a regular window. The whole thing didn't work. No message about good or bad promo code. Txt message to the phone said "Thank you for Adding Airtime. Your Service End Date is " . Yes, it didn't give a date, and a check of the balance showed nothing was added. After 15 minutes, I tried the Airtime Pin again, but this time the Promo Code box was shaded out and nothing could be added. Fortunately this time it added the normal 3X minutes for my Android ZTE Valet phone. Oh, well. Would be nice to know EXACTLY what phone work and an EXPLICIT procedure.

My comments may not not fit with current comments - forgive me as I am not familiar with posting on blogs. After reading earlier blogs I was finally able to confirm that my LG 840G which I bought at Dollar General in ARK (I had lost my tracphone) clearly uses the T-Mobil carrier service and not ATT. T-Mobile has very poor coverage for my area - 03450. If it used ATT I would have significantly better coverage. My older LG tracfone got much better service coverage. I am so frustrated with this one that although I love the full keyboard and the camera and simplicity the poor service/no service is proving to be a very poor choice for me. Wish I had known before I bought it. Bad enough that it took me several months to get Tracfone to activate it with my "old" number. But at least I have finally solved the poor service/no service mystery and will have to give this phone up since the lack of cell service is not very useful. Now maybe I can restore harmony with my partner who simply could not understand that different phones within the Tracfone line use different carriers.

Hope this helps others. Thanks so much again for helping me solve my mystery! Now to find a new phone....

I just bought 2 60-min cards in the same transaction with the 12745 code, and I think I should have done it as 2 successive transactions each for 1 60-min card. I have long had double minutes on this phone, so my expenditure of $39.98 (2 * $19.99) + tax bought me the following: (2 cards * 90 days =) 180 days + 300 minutes, and the minutes break down to (60 min doubled = 120) * 2 cards = 240 minutes + 60 minutes bonus. So I only got 1 bonus, not one for each of 2 cards. Probably everybody knows to do successive transactions with working codes to get a bonus on each card, but I didn't think enough about it to understand that.

I had lots of minutes but was running out of service time. The cheapest option was 30 minutes and 30 days for $9.99 (online only); at checkout I was offered the option to add 365 days of service for $49.99, which was what was really needed. Wish there was an option to just add service time, but this method came close.

The thing that bugs me about current tracphone is that it does not show me when my time expires or minutes left. I did find a site or perhaps part of the Tracphone site where I could input my number to discover this.

Still I have enjoyed using these codes in the past. A great service!

Hello. Today I tried to use the July, 2017 promo code listed. It was even advertised on the TF webpage. Sigh, since I use an unlocked international BYOPhone, (LG G4) cust service told me I was not eligible for the promos. Cust serve also told me that yesterday, but todays rep reiterated it (and spoke perfect English). The promo codes, and some other features like 10% off if you put your airtime purchase on automatic renewal, are good only if you use a phone purchased from Tracfone. Its still a great deal for light users. A year ago I bought a 400 minute card good for 365 days. All "buckets of service" tripled. So far I've used half of the 1200 voice minutes, half of the 1200 mb data, and three fourths of the 1200 texts. At $99.99, each unit of service is about $.027 or 2.7 cents! If you are a heavier user, today I discovered that the TF website sells even bigger packages, good for a year, at prices down to $.014 (1.4 cents) per unit of service. Great deal - and, if you run low on either data or texts, those can be added separately at even lower cost. I love the convenience of renewing my cell phone service annually - and unused units roll over into the next service year! Can't beat it !
