The 14223 promo code (500 mb data) worked for me in April. Does not work for me in May. It comes back with an "already used" message when I try to use it in May.

Just used the following promo code from Dec 2018/Jan 2019 (on 3 different phones, all on the same account) using a $15 smartphone only card (purchased, hard copy). Worked for all 3 phones. Thanks!

Most likely your phone is 2G, the oldest that TF networks will support going forward is 3G. I had to replace an older phone but TF offered a discount on the upgrade. So far as I know it has nothing to do with CDMA or GSM.

Just a weird FYI I successfully used 14223 yesterday once (having learned to buy one at a time to get the extra 500 for each) and then tried it for a second round only to receive the "not valid for this phone" error. I was able to do it in the past so now wonder if they're limiting by phone#.
