My family and I left the first week of April. We spent that week taking a 3 day trip to Mt. Abu with our two closest families/friends. I spent the rest of the time shopping. Gifts for everyone that I thought I'd thought of but maybe didn't, beautiful dresses made out of Sarees-but in Western style. We bought tons of meds, antibiotics, migrane meds...An extra suitcase! We also spent a lot of time giving away our clothes to neighbors who could use them. And finally, we were guests at another home for each and every possible meal. We were so sad to go, and I'm jealous that you're all still there.
I've been reading your blog on and off for quite some time, thanks for the laughs. My kids wrote a blog while we were there: cherryindianadventure.blogspot.com
Good luck packing (LOL). We went home with 8 suitcases and 6 carry-ons. A lot considering that we gave away all of our clothes. The kids only came home with crocks.
We have done a lot of that so far and have spent the last four weekends traveling around India. We are headed to the NYC area in the next few days. Next question, what is the first thing we do when we get back. A slice of pizza? A Budweiser beer (Belgian now). What do you think?!?
The counter on the right side of the screen is a little misleading. Today it shows there are 15 days to go. Actually, that takes us to the date our visas expire.
