It looks as if the strange saga that is Paulie's bizarre infatuation with Michelle Erstikaitis may soon be drawing to a close, at least the part of it that involved Paulie insisting that she is a, " political prisoner" when she wrote a letter to Timothy McVeigh more than a decade ago:

Paulie continues to minimize the record of a clearly disturbed young woman who is in desperate need of long-term psychiatric help. The list of her crimes include harassment of the mother of one of the children raped and murdered by Paul Bernardo. Numerous cases of assault. Arson. Hell, while she was in custody she assaulted a prison guard.

But of course Paulie has cracked the case. It wasn't because she is a habitual offender that Erstikaitis ended up in jail. No, it's that letter she wrote McVeigh. That's got to be it.

Fun fact is that Erstikaitis actually wanted to be declared a dangerous offender. While you wouldn't know it from Paulie's account, it looks like she got her wish:

If she breaches terms of the order, she could be jailed indefinitely. 
“I think it is a good result all around,” said prosecutor David Boulet.
In June 1999, Erstikaitis was sentenced to two years’ probation after she was convicted of threatening to kill Debbie Mahaffy, the mother of Leslie Mahaffy, 14, one of three girls murdered by Bernardo and Karla Homolka.
At the time, Erstikaitis expressed admiration for Bernardo — who has also consented to the dangerous offender label — and said she believed him innocent. 
In Thursday’s sentencing, Erstikaitis pleaded guilty to two sets of charges, including assault with a weapon, weapons dangerous, threatening bodily harm, assaulting a peace officer and breaching a previous long-term supervision order. 
The first set of charges stemmed from an incident in January 2009 when Erstikaitis threw a glass plate and hard drive at her boyfriend, kicked him and then stabbed him with a pair of scissors in their Scarborough apartment.
His injuries were not grave, but at the time she was serving the last months of a six-year sentence as a long-term offender — on top of two years in prison — after pleading guilty to arson in an October 1999 fire at a Hamilton apartment building.
In the second set of charges for which she was sentenced Thursday, is the assault of a female uniformed court officer in December 2009. While in court answering to the charges of assaulting her boyfriend, she started yelling at a judge. Natasha Minassian, the court officer, moved to intervene.    So Erstikaitis threw a cup of water at Minassian and threatened her, saying, “You don’t know who I am. They are trying to get a dangerous offender application on me.” 
Then she spat at the officer, according to agreed facts.
Later in the holding cells she “acted out violently to knee” the court officer in the groin area. 
In the lengthy sentencing process that culminated Thursday, Erstikaitis represented herself, although the court hired lawyer Peter Boushy to assist in the process. 
Erstikaitis has fired a previous lawyer, boasting of her intelligence. 
“I know just as much as they do,” she has told the judge. 
“I have a bit more intelligence and education than the average criminal. I have read Martin’s Criminal Code twice,” she said.
Female dangerous offenders are relatively rare compared to men, but some have been so designated in the past, including the first, Marlene Moore, who committed suicide in 1988.
Wait a moment. Paulie described the incident with her boyfriend that led to her incarceration as a, "domestic he-shoved she-shoved"event in which, "no one got hurt." Really? Because, we have to tell you, being stabbed, even if only you are a little bit stabbed, really hurts.

Now, we know that the boneheads read our blog perhaps even more diligently than do the anti-racists, so we have to ask:

Why do you people continue to send Paulie money? Or let him speak for you? Don't you find all this just a little bit embarrassing? More to the point, don't you find it a little insulting to your intelligence that...

Wait, intelligence might not be the right word. "Intelligence" has four syllables.

Hmmm, we'll dumb it down a bit.

Don't you find it a little insulting to the thinky part of the brain that Paulie is telling you who is and is not a, "White Nationalist" because he thinks/knows you are so dense you'll likely believe whatever he tells you?

Hey, it's your movement. You want Paulie as your public face in Canada, that's your business.

Of course there are those who have come out to suggest that just maybe Michelle Erstikaitis isn't the poster child for the "WN" movement that Paulie has made her out to be (though she does have the propensity towards violence down pat). Just as people were perplexed by Paulie's defence of this woman when he first became her advocate, there are those who are arguing that she might simply be a damaged human:

Sigh.... no, Paulie isn't arguing that Erstikaitis was the one who put your hero up to the Oklahoma City bombing. He's suggesting that the letter she sent McVeigh after his conviction while he was on death row is the reason she found herself in jail a decade later. This really wasn't that hard to figure out, Johnny. It's no wonder Paulie thinks you people are sheep.

So, Michelle Erstikaitis got her wish and she's been declared a dangerous offender. Paulie got his wish and she will soon be out of jail. So, what's next? We mean, does Erstikaitis have anywhere to stay once she is released?

Gee, does this mean that Paulie is going to continue to work to try and rehabilitate this woman? Perhaps take her into his home?

Please! No, we imagine that on her release she will be forgotten by Paulie, as she will have served her purpose for him. He could then go back to being a dilettante White Nationalist intellectual drinking red wine while his followers continue to live in ignorance and, quite often, poverty:
