I hate to state this but feel both compelled and torn by the matters discussed. How do any of us, living and/or working under easily corrupted systems, hope to remedy the evils and wrongs perpetrated? Clearly, the egregiousness of such systems is built in, in order to assure the protection of economic interests and international relations. Your mention of the Ford Werke matter(s) illustrates this problem. Multi-national corporations do not want to interfere with worker connected issues in other nations whose behaviors towards workers may not be egalitarian. Some countries have better or worse reputations than others. This seems to be a laissez faire conundrum: go along with our intolerance or keep your operations within your own jurisdictions. I can't project any sort of win-win for that.
