And, it may not. But, nonetheless, I was interviewed today for an article being written for the New York Times. It appears that this site, GuyOnTheAir.com, had information that Rachel Metz found interesting. So, she contacted me, I bit, and we chatted on the phone this afternoon.
Rachel, a self-admitted "tech hound and news junkie", is writing an article about how people who lose their cell phones can even lose their social life. She reasons that since fewer people memorize fewer phone numbers, losing or having a cell phone stolen can be devastating.
Apparently, my 2004 Tax Day entry talked of how I'd had my phone stolen since moving to LA, and that was all Rachel needed.
I've been reading a number of her articles, and they're all about fascinating things to me. Kinda makes me reminisce about those times when I was, and wanted to be a reporter. I kind of miss writing, and, obviously, since I do so little here, if I don't have a real reason to write, I don't.
So who knows. Rachel may, or may not, choose to use me in her article. And, her article may or may not get published. And, either way, it doesn't really matter. It was interesting, and a trip down memory lane, nonetheless. I do kind of miss doing news, though...
