I am researching online writing courses and just noticed this review. I have a masters degree in Rhetoric and Composition and I have taught writing online at both the university level and for high school (to homeschoolers). I have not taught for Write Guide, but I want to mention that their policy of feedback within 24 hrs. is very reasonable. Their focus on individualize instruction is commendable and labor intensive. They must consider workload and instructor pay when making their policies. Providing feedback five days a week is uncommonly high for any online course.

First let me say that I generally do not post anonymous comments because there is no way to know whether the info in the comment is true or not.

However I let this one go through because this is a valid point. I will clarify though that I said that for my daughter this method and the amount of lag time was not effective. When she is writing she wants instant feedback so that she continue without breaking her flow.
No program is going to meet the needs of every family and this one was not for ours.

Hi - Thanks for wanting to share your ideas & comments! I love hearing what others have to say, but just so that everyone is aware, I have the right and option to decide to post a comment or not. Foul language, inappropriate comments, lashing out at the world, or posting irrelevant ad links are a few reasons why posts may be rejected. My daughter & her friends like to frequently see what is being posted so therefore I would like to keep it clean.
I also have a tendency to reject "Anonymous" posts as I feel the content is not verifiable, therefore is often either irrelevant or not viable.
If your comment has been accepted - it will generally appear in less than 24 hours! Thanks Gina
