Well, you're one step ahead of me because I haven't even thought of next year yet! LOL! We have been using Math-U-See for a couple years now and we love it. I also like the What Your __Grader Nedds to Know series by E.D Hirsch. We use the literature in there, some of the English (language arts), I like the history and geography and we use some of the science. I supplement all of this with field trips, games, movies, books on cd/tape, hands-on experiements and projects, nature walks, field guides, real books ( as opposed to textbooks), etc

For vocabulary this year ( because we've never done it before and this year my 10 yr old asked) we are going to use Vocabulary from Classical Roots which I got through Rainbow Resource (www.rainbowresource.com)

Hope this helps! :)

Hi - Thanks for wanting to share your ideas & comments! I love hearing what others have to say, but just so that everyone is aware, I have the right and option to decide to post a comment or not. Foul language, inappropriate comments, lashing out at the world, or posting irrelevant ad links are a few reasons why posts may be rejected. My daughter & her friends like to frequently see what is being posted so therefore I would like to keep it clean.
I also have a tendency to reject "Anonymous" posts as I feel the content is not verifiable, therefore is often either irrelevant or not viable.
If your comment has been accepted - it will generally appear in less than 24 hours! Thanks Gina
