So glad you liked candy experiments. Your idea of putting foil on the pan is so good, and so obvious, I wonder why I haven't been doing that myself this whole time.

I usually melt my candy at a lower temperature--around 250. It takes a little longer, but we don't get charred puddles that way (at least not yet). The chocolate also seems to melt better at a lower temperature.

Thanks for sharing your experiences about candy experiments. I always enjoy seeing what other families are doing!

Hi - Thanks for wanting to share your ideas & comments! I love hearing what others have to say, but just so that everyone is aware, I have the right and option to decide to post a comment or not. Foul language, inappropriate comments, lashing out at the world, or posting irrelevant ad links are a few reasons why posts may be rejected. My daughter & her friends like to frequently see what is being posted so therefore I would like to keep it clean.
I also have a tendency to reject "Anonymous" posts as I feel the content is not verifiable, therefore is often either irrelevant or not viable.
If your comment has been accepted - it will generally appear in less than 24 hours! Thanks Gina
