I see that you have the Kahn Academy on the math schedule. Do you just have them watch various videos or is there worksheets that you use along with the videos?

There is far more to the math section of khan than JUST videos. There is a whole matrix of problems to work through, where the student can earn points, badges etc. Get hints when needed on a particular problem and watch videos to understand the concepts! There is an option to see the next 10 problems in a set and then print them out if the child does better with pen to paper work, but we tend to just use a wipe board or the scratchpad on the computer. The best part - IMO - is that you can get hints on how to work through the exact problem rather than dealing with using an abstract problem to compare it to.
Here is a direct link to the exercise dashboard - http://www.khanacademy.org/exercisedashboard - you should totally check it out!

Hi - Thanks for wanting to share your ideas & comments! I love hearing what others have to say, but just so that everyone is aware, I have the right and option to decide to post a comment or not. Foul language, inappropriate comments, lashing out at the world, or posting irrelevant ad links are a few reasons why posts may be rejected. My daughter & her friends like to frequently see what is being posted so therefore I would like to keep it clean.
I also have a tendency to reject "Anonymous" posts as I feel the content is not verifiable, therefore is often either irrelevant or not viable.
If your comment has been accepted - it will generally appear in less than 24 hours! Thanks Gina
