Don- How the hell are you? Keep the pics coming. I'm contemplating cruising soon; the day will come when you and I are tenor and bari on a boat (in whatever arrangement we like:)). I will have to read I am Legend after I finish the Dark Tower series (currently on Book IV). I hear JJ Abrams is making the movie. At least we know they can't cop out and water down the plot half way through. Call me when you're in the States...

It took a while, and I held out with all the power I had, but as I was continually convinced of what amazing lifesavers they can be and just how damned cool they are by everyone one this damnable ship who has one, increasing by about 20 a week, I finally broke down and got an iphone.
It is the best and greatest thing since God created astronaut ice cream.
Especially if you have a friend who, as a hobby, unlocks them. Just sayin'.
I haven't been writing much lately because not a whole lot has gone on in the last week or so that's blogworthy.
I finally saw I AM LEGEND and was interested that I didn't think it was a bad movie though it has essentially less in common with the book that it's based on than West Side Story has with Romeo and Juliet. The ending of the book - one of my favorite endings of any book, stylistically - is TOTALLY muted and TOTALLY ruined with this Hollywood B.S.
Read the book. Read everything by Richard Matheson. He wrote everything from SOMEWHERE IN TIME to NIGHTMARE AT 20000 FEET to DUEL to WHAT DREAMS MAY COME to I AM LEGEND to... well, look into it.
