UPDATED: Here are some pics of our excurstion to Dallas yesterday, to visit the Kwik-E-Mart. I accidentally deleted one pic from this set, that of the employees helplessly slogging away through the crowd in their Kwik-E-Mart uniforms. My only regret is that I didn't get a photo with Apu. [Image]We picked up some Krusty-Os and Buzz Cola... no Duff Beer to be had. [Image]Vanessa was ogled by some strange pony-tailed fat guy. [Image]The signs here warned you of what does and does not constitute a sprinkle. A Jolly Rancher, for example, cannot be a sprinkle. In the back there you'll see a makeshift radio booth where some jerks from some local Dallas station were making an appearance to celebrate A) The Simpsons thing, B) 7-11 on 7-11 with free squishees (slurpees), C) The 80th anniversary of 7-11, I guess, and D) the fact that they are irate that no one knows who they are. They caused a great deal of congestion within the store and generally went on and on about nothing having anything to do with the store or happenings therein. A good portion of the crowd was their crew and staff, there weren't a lot of fans hanging around. Anyway... [Image]The whole thing was a worthwhile adventure.
That's today. We didn't know it, but there were free Squishees because of the date. I was served by Apu. He was Filipino, which is not as I pictured him.
The website is not complete, but is functional. Continue checking around, even on pages you may think haven't changed, there are easter eggs/links added at the astounding rate of at least one per day. Vanessa's site is linked from my page as well.
Heard from an old friend today, randomly calling me... I hope everyone out there I haven't heard from in a bajillion years is doing just as well as Brad and Gina are.
