There are a million reasons why I prefer the EVO to the long ago sold iPhone. Android, simply, is the way to go. iOS is a closed platform that doesn't allow a true range of development and creativity like Android. I can tether, I can use homebrew apps, and the EVO easily equals or surpasses the iphone in terms of hardware. There are so many great android phones to choose from... the Nexus S is the best right now, I think... or will be. Anyway, unless you're keen to use only software that Apple says you can, Android is the way to go. Also, the HTC EVO has far greater out-of-the-box utility. That's my input, months later....
