This is our third year in a row sailing around the Turkish coast and Greek islands with the same boat (Osman Kurt) and Captain Suleyman. We love the Dodecanese

I think this time we completed the perfect route of Dodecanese Islands; including Kalymnos, Leros, Patmos, Lipsi, Arki (Arkoi), Marathi, Pserimos and Kos. All detailed maps at the bottom!
Our captain for 3 years now; Captain Suleyman and his crew including the chef is now like a family for us. They are super professional and the food they serve and their performance is something out of this world. If you want to experience this incredible journey you can contact Mr Atilay İncik who is a Yachting Supervisor from Akustik Tourism Center (www.akustik.tc).
We started sailing from Bodrum Marina and our first stop was Kalymnos. We walked around the marina and bought some natural sponges from Maria; who is a super social lady that loves to talk in detail about her sponges :)
Next day we sailed to Leros where we went to Aloni (cook's name is Lefter) for dinner and everything was delicious. This is a tiny beach restaurant south of Leros which is where sailors tend to go to avoid the crowds in Panteli Beach where Gulets tend to anchor. Two years ago when we first came to Leros we had dinner at Milos which is a cute restaurant next to a tiny wind mill (you can anchor in Panteli and walk-up small hill to reach Milos). Both are recommended.

Our third stop was Patmos which is my favourite island of all. Once at Patmos, take a taxi up Chora and start your night with drinks at Jimmy's Balcony and it's a must visit. It has a bird eye view and the sunset is lovely. If you continue climbing up you will come to a tiny village center where you will find restaurants, shops and bars. Two years ago we had dinner at Vaggelis which was OK (food and atmosphere) and couple of doors next to it there is a tiny bar called Thalami owned by George who is the coolest bartender; we love him :) You should go and get some drinks. If you like sour; he has a special ginger cocktail.
In Skala make sure to visit this tiny store with organic produce

This year we had dinner at To Kyma which had just opened couple of days before we have been (mid June 2017). It has a spectacular location; at a cliffe. The service was not good as expected after the opening; hope they will improve quickly.

From Patmos we were on our way to Arki and Marathi - where time stopped - and we were happy with the No Reception on our phones. In Marathi - you will find few lunch options, but advise would be to stick with Stavragos. We all just wanted to stay back and enjoy few more days here.

Home made fries - how can you stop eating them?

Specialty on many Greek islands is goat meat prepared in various ways.

Next stop Lipsi. Small harbour and church host around them all your cravings. Korres skin care? Patisserie? More home made fries? Jewellery?

As we were sailing North from Bodrum, we initially stopped in the main harbour of Kalymnos to deal with our entry into Greece, but on our way back we chose to sleep at Emporios - North West of the island and if you are lucky to catch full moon, this place is magical!

Pserimos - our last stop, but not to be missed is where you will find crystal clear waters and amazing for snorkelling.
