One of my personal credos in life is this : act like an optimist but think like a pessimist. It's not a good credo as the position is self-defeating at best.

For example: as such, I take part in public protests in the freaking cold Canadian winter against the upcoming American invasion of Iraq, even though I know in my heart of hearts that it matters little what I think about the matter compared to those people who were at Davos.

Besides, its not protesters that are going to topple the United States of Oil Interests... its the Euro that will this job.
