Seriously, am I the last one to receive a Stitch Fix box? I may be proof of the old marketing advice that a person has to hear something like 11 times before they take action ;) But I finally did! Here's my first five items - Fix #1. My stylist was Lindsay.

I kept one shirt and sent the rest back. That's sort of where they get you - once I'd paid the $20 styling fee, I wanted to apply it to SOMETHING! But I do really like the shirt I chose to keep. A box is sort of like layway - you've already paid $20 of the price of something, so what's left looks much more manageable.

[Image] This is the Leila Dress from Loveappella. When I first looked at what was in my box, this was my favorite. I pictured wearing it with my favorite LuLaRoe black leggings and my black boots.

But then I tried it on. While the fit was technically good, the print and where it clung to me made me look bigger than I am. It was kind of disconcerting, and I easily decided to send it back.

I had several asymmetrical sweaters on my Pinterest board, which is why my stylist said she picked this for me. She also said it's 'on trend' this season. It's the Alan French Terry Asymmetrical Zip Cardigan from Market & Spruce.  I loved the idea of it.

Once I tried it on, it seemed kind of thick. It was rather sloppy on my when it was unzipped, but seemed bulky zipped up. While pockets are usually a plus in my book, these just seemed to add more to a sweatshirt/sweater that was already too much. Back it goes!

The Mystree Chamberlin Striped Drape Front Cardigan looked fun. I liked the colors, and it felt very cozy on. Unfortunately it was not nearly as flattering as it was cozy.

I'm not sure if this was something that may have been better if I sized down a bit so it was more fitted/less sloppy, but I really didn't love it enough to go to the hassle. Into the return bag!

This is the Edmond Chevron Print Henley Shirt from Pixley. While I liked the cut, fit, and amount of cleavage shown, it really just didn't strike me as something special. I feel like some shirts I got last summer (for half the price) were comparable. I can't say that I didn't like this shirt, I just didn't like it enough. I sent it back.

The Skies are Blue Avena Split Neck Top ended up being my very favorite once I'd tried everything on.

I've always said plaid was my favorite color, and this shirt is like plaid with a twist. Without it being flannel, I feel a little more dressed up or put together wearing it. It's very light weight. I think the cut is flattering, and like that it's long enough in the back to cover my butt so I'll wear it with my skinny jeans (shown) or a pair of dark blue lettings. In the spring/summer, it will also go well with a khaki colored pair of capris or a skirt.

I'm keeping this shirt. I don't know if I'd spend the money on it wandering through a store, but I already have $20 invested, and I love the convenience of it showing up at my door so I can try it on in the privacy of my own home, and see how it goes with things I already have.
