In that last photo, is that dresser a metal Simmons?

Very nice planters btw.

Mike,

It's metal and the drawer-pulls are similar to those found on Bel Geddes' Simmons pieces, but there's no tag or any sort of manufacturer's mark on the dresser, so we're inclined to say no. Also, the bottom of the dresser is a solid block--there are no legs like those in the Simmons line.

I found it in an antique store in Tucson for $100 about three months prior to moving here.

Hope this helps!

Marc: We got it off of eBay. They can get pretty pricey sometimes, though. I bid on them for about a year and finally won one at a price I could live with. There was a seller that was listing them pretty consistently last year. Not sure if they're still listing them or not, though. Good luck!

Andy: Thanks for the kind words!

I am in love with all your planters!! I just got 2 bullet planters and was looking around for some plants to put in mine when I saw your post. Would you mind telling me what is the name of the plants you have? Especially the one you have in your blue bullet planter. Yes, I have planters envy!! Lol!

Hi, Mary DK!

Thanks for the kind words on our planters. One of us is definitely obsessed with them! Our main focus on plants are usually cactus and succulents with a few house plants sprinkled in. The one in the blue bullet planter is a Bird of Paradise plant and the tall snake like plants are called Sansevieria. Monstera Deliciosa is also a good house plant that we have, but unfortunately not featured in this post of ours from 3 years ago. Hope that helps and good luck with your hunt!

Best,
