produce in Italy between 1969 and 1976 (but produce in US, Australia or elsewwhere from ?to ?)
Kartell color information: orange, white or red with black or white cushion

your yellow and black are apprently local (US or ?) colors ...

Thanks for the info, Teddy. The Kartell website has "Sgabello" (stool) listed for type and the product name is left blank.

We typically see these stools called Rocchetto (spool--makes sense given their shape). This is also how it is listed on the Triennale Design Museum website:

Hey Guys....!

Just reading back through your blog & thought I'd pop in to offer some assistance if you're still after an orange seat....I'm heading to Texas in September ( I go twice a year) for Round Top....I'd be happy to bring to help out....I bring all my clothing in my carry on leaving my suitcase empty....Generally I fill this with bubblewrap but I reckon I might be able to fit a seat in if I took it apart....?
