Rany, love the posts and the intellect behind them. Please don't go off the grid for weeks in between posts.

Also, my thoughts and prayers are with the people of Syria!

Cheers. Happy Fathers Day

Who would ever have dreamed the Royals would be this bad at the plate?

As odd as this sounds, with this bullpen, the coaching mostly being positive (Royals win a 5 hour game in the house of horsebeer should say something) and actually as Rany stated on radio internal help is own the way could we have meaningful games in Sept.?

I find it amazing that even with the Royals abusing Omaha's pitching staff on an almost daily basis that the Storm Chasers are still in first place.

Do you think the royals should go to a 4-man rotation, since the starters aren't going as deep? Expect 5-6 innings vs 6-7? Then, the extra roster spot could go to the bullpen and we could have our extra "shadow starter" in the bigs rather than in omaha?

I kind of hope the Royals do something radically different with their pitching staff in the next few years. I don't think the Royals will ever win the AL pennant with a standard 5 person rotation. The injury rate is too high, and the cost of acquiring a 200+ IP is too high.

I would love to see a pitching staff that focuses on 2 IP per outing, where pitchers appear in 60-65 games a year.

during last nights post game Robert Ford said Glass and DM have told him the payroll limit is $70mill. If so we have no hope unless cheap ass Glass sells
