I would have liked to see you address whether Joseph could be converted to a starter.

I try to follow the Red Sox pretty closely, and I think the Breslow trade was mainly a move designed to free up space on the 40 man and slightly improve the bullpen. They traded Albers and Podsednik for Breslow, so it's not like they gave up much. Also, adding a lefty lets them try Morales in the rotation again.

Sisson was also the "baserunning coach", which may indicate why he was dismissed (in a common sense world).

Maybe Yuni can attend "teamwork counseling" with Roy Oswalt.

As much as I would like to see Gio get the Moustakis treatment it is clear the front office doesn't see him as a major league player. Maybe he gets called up in September but most likely he will be a throw in in a trade this winter or, if the other clubs share the Royals view of him, doomed to remain in AAA until he hangs them up.

I figure that the reason that Rany hasn't posted for a while is that he is still celebrating the good Yuni news.

I was worried when Mijares showed up late for spring training and explained how excited he was to play for the Royals:

Mijares said he picked the Royals for a simple reason: “More money.”

In Baltimore for the O's-Royals last night. Two remarkable defensive plays. O's batting, runner on first and Royals up 4-0. A sharply hit ball hugging third base line. Moustakas moves sharply right, lunges and snags the ball, leaps and fires a laser beam across his body to get the lead runner at 2nd. Turns out the ball was barely foul, but Moustakas didn't know that. Excellent grab, totally remarkable throw, precisely against the momentum of his body. Wow. Moment later, Jones hits a rocket over Gordon's head. Gordon wisely doesn't give chase, but turns and waits. The ball strikes hard off the bottom of the wall and caroms to perfectly positioned Gordon, who turns and fires to second. Jones, who was slow getting out of the box, is out by three feet. Runner on third holds. Royals get out of the inning a moment later with no runs scored. I was sitting behind the third base dugout. The first inning homers by Gordon and Butler were fun, but those two plays are the ones I'll remember.

I don't care why he does a good job, just that he does a good job.
