If memory serves, the word Posnanski chose was "detonate" for Affeldt and his curveball that day.

Why? Why do this to me? I was reserving my emotions, carefully holding my excitement in check for this Royals season. Not expecting too much, just happy to have a group of kids to root for, and see where it takes us.

A few more good reports from Arizona and I am going to buy season tickets, a Perez jersey and buy all the way in to this team.

Will you be there to hold me and rock me to sleep as I weep in September?

Hmm. If Duffy is for real, and Paulino meets Rany's expectations, and Chen keeps baffling everyone, and Sanchez cuts down his walks a tad, and Hochevar keeps building on his end-of-the-season work, and Crow transitions smoothly to starting...
The Royals will RULE! Bwah ha ha ha ha ha!

Isn't spring training fun? However, if only half of those wishes turn into ponies, it'll be a really fun season.

All this Duffy talk is getting me excited. If he can pan out as a quality, top-of-the-rotation guy, then we may be in the playoff hunt.

@The Professor - I think you've got the Royals with a very unique 6-man rotation if all your wishes pan out.

The only bigger "what if" for me in the last 20 years was Jose Rosado.
