I actually stumbled upon your work when I was searching for the best DVD DS9 set(s) to get. I already have the TOS and TNG remastered box sets and last rewatched the entire series of DS9 a few years ago, but lately I've been getting the itch to watch it again. Also, someday I'd like to get Voyager on disc since I haven't seen that series in quite a while. But today the itch is the greatest for DS9.
I've actually been thinking about upgrading my video card from an Asus GTX 1080 Ti Poseidon to a RTX 3080 Ti (when they arrive) and wouldn't at all mind using it to render DS9 and possibly other series in the future. I don't spend as much time on my PC as I used to due to some medical issues (I'm also disabled/wheelchair bound) that make it hard for me to "sit" for long periods at a time and immerse myself in a game. Hopefully that will change in the future, but until then I might as well put my fairly good PC to use while I'm not on it. ;)
Anyway, I basically just wanted to give you a shout out of encouragement. If I do end up following your instructions for remastering DS9, it will be on your shoulders that I stand. ;)

Upscaled to 4K using the AI-powered Video Enhance AI software by Topaz Labs. This is an improved version of the 'DS9 Intro in 4K' video I did over a year ago. That version was made by upscaling each frame individually using Gigapixel AI, another Topaz product. Video Enhance AI is a new program that is designed form the ground up for video AI upscaling.
There are some noticeable changes between the two versions:
the Gigapixel AI version wasn't upscaled with the correct source resolution (640x480). As such the footage is wider than it should
the Video Enhance AI version has greater visual consistency between frames
the Video Enhance AI version is a lot quicker to upscale the same amount of video
I have recently gotten an Nvidia RTX 2060 GPU. This allows me to take advantage of CUDA, an AI optimization system only found in new Nvidia cards. This reduces the time it takes to upscale images and videos significantly (minutes instead of hours). As such I will be able to do more with AI upscaling on this channel again.
