A friend of mine has this phobia too... Actually, she fears every flying insect, especially butterflies. And seriously, I'll never understand WTH she got a butterfly tattoo on her foot!!!
See, I have this fear of moths... And even butterflies seem scary when they decide to fly towards me with their fluffy bodies..

Happily, a few years ago I discovered that my cousin also has this phobia... Well, you know, not that it's awesome she is scared of those insects too, but I was happy to realize I was not the only weirdo in the world.
However, it never crossed my mind that this fear was actually a thing.. that even has a name. Mottephobia it is! And that's not all, there are communities/ support groups ready to accept me.
Ah, I love this planet.. I love her so much, I will forgive her she has left those disgusting fluffy creatures live.
